FMP - Unit 13 - Moodboards

I have chosen to create mood-boards investigating areas of my chosen project title. This will able me to explore various animals and their habitats which will help me with my design ideas  final design later on in the project.

Sheet 5 should really have been the first mood-board as that is the initial area of research I started from. Nevertheless, it is the fifth one as it is mainly the images I had left after categorising my research into different topics: i.e. British Wildlife, Underwater, Pets, Birds, Insects, Reptiles and Popular Cat Breeds.

I decided that one of these mood-boards would be on 'Cats' (specifically pet cats) - this is the animal I am thinking about doing for my final piece. The survey I carried out previously, inspired this idea even more as my charts showed me that 'Cats' are the most popular pet people have. Also, I own a cat myself so this would make my final piece more personal to me. I also draw cats a lot in my spare time as well as in previous art projects so I have had practise and enjoy drawing them (they're my favourite animal).

The layout of each of these mood-boards is different for every one of them so that they're creative and not too repetitive. However 3, 4 & 5 were similar - they're standard mood-boards where the images are spread out over the entire page, leaving no space. These 3 focus on the images themselves and show my research without critical studies. The rest of the mood-boards include critical studies to portray some of my research as drawings to show my skills and to start developing ideas for my sketchbook and designs.
