FMP - Unit 13 - Primary Research - Cannon Hall farm

On Sunday 21st February, I went to Cannon Hall farm for a day trip. I took images of the animals there to use as Primary research. These photographs are of sheep & lambs, rams, goats, donkeys, ponies, horses, reindeer, cows, bulls, llamas, alpacas, pigs & piglets, rabbits, guinea-pig, birds, chickens, turkeys and a few countryside landscapes. I will draw from these images in my sketchbook using different media such as paint, pen, coloured pencil, graphite pencil, charcoal etc. The techniques I use could be crosshatching, gridding, impasto etc. depending on what media I used e.g. impasto is a technique done with paint where the paint is laid on thickly to create a certain effect - usually done with acrylic or none watery paints that are buildable. Crosshatching is a shading technique usually done with pen or pencils to give a certain, detailed, 'cross-hatched' effect. I find Gridding very handy for larger scale drawing; if I am finding the image difficult to get in proportion, gridding is very effective in the way that it can help make the drawing more in perspective to the original image.
Here are a lot of the images I took from cannon hall farm using my 'canon power-shot' camera:
